Performance—Duo Pixel: Jake Church (CG) and Michelle Velvin (Harp) 5:35—6:30
Duo Pixel are a harp and guitar duo formed by Wellington-based performer-composers Michelle Velvin and Jake Church. Their interactions originate through wanting to create new music for this instrumental combination.
In 2020, Duo Pixel performed at St Mark’s, St Andrew’s concert series and the inaugural concert of St Anne’s concert series. They are currently working on student duets for guitar and harp to foster more interactions between these instrumental communities.
Duo Pixel will play a selection of their compositions, and a work by Gareth Farr called ‘Frozen Landscapes’.
