Our next meeting will be held on Sunday 3rd November. The address is Crossways (upstairs) at 6 Roxburgh Street, Mt Victoria. The meeting will start at 4.15 pm and finish at 6.30 pm. The program for this month is: 1. Play in and practise for Christmas concert – where everybody with a guitar can take part in playing in a large group of guitars. Firstly we had our regular large group play in. This is always fun and seems to go nicely and is an enjoyable group to be part of. Then we had a variety of students and prospective students from the NZ School of music a variety of quality guitar repertoire with polish and panache. Bravo! Mike WR played a duet written by Michael Calvert in 1993. It is called “A small gift”. Michael Calvert won the New Zealand guitar composition last year. Wednesday October 30th – Owen Moriarty is playing solo at St Andrews on the Terrace at 12.15pm. Wednesday November 27th – Duo Tapas (Owen Moriarty guitar and Rupa Maitra violin) play at St Andrews on the Terrace at 12.15 Friday 15th November – There is a café concert at Mojos in upper Willis Street (just down from old Settlement restaurant) starting at 7pm. There are three performances of 30 minutes each. Mike Wespel-Rose will be one of the performers. Entry $5.
