Last Meeting in July

Once again a short but satisfying  playing of of our society guitar group. I find this a permanently enjoyable activity every month at guitar society. We had some members playing. They were: K.308 Scarlatti – arranged by David Russel. – played by Cameron Djilile by Peter Sculthorpe – played by Jamie Skylark – played by Mark. And then our feature slot of Douglas Mews (small harpsichord)  and Pepe Becker (voice). October Meeting Recap

Firstly we had our regular large group play in. This is always fun and seems to go nicely and is an enjoyable group to be part of. Then we had a variety of students and prospective students from the NZ School of music a variety of quality guitar repertoire with polish and panache. Bravo! Mike WR played a duet written by Michael Calvert in 1993. It is called “A small gift”. Michael Calvert won the New Zealand guitar composition last year.
