4:15–5:00Concert by Hamish Goodhue
Hamish Goodhue is currently in his third year of university studying at the New Zealand School of Music. Growing up surrounded by amazing musicians is what inspired Hamish from a young age and inspired him to study at a tertiary level. Learning music from the age of 6, Hamish has had various well recognised tutors such as Dominique Blatti, Owen Moriarty, and, most recently, Dr. Jane Curry.  In late 2018, Hamish won the youth category of the New Zealand Biennial Classical Guitar competition and the Muriel May scholarship competition.  Hamish is in a range of chamber groups including a Flute and Guitar duo as well as Classical guitar duo; and Duo 241.  Outside of classical guitar, Hamish has also played percussion in local and national groups such as Wellington Brass Band, the National Youth Brass band (principal percussionist) and the National Youth Orchestra of New Zealand.
