Firstly we had our regular large group play in. This is always fun and seems to go nicely and is an enjoyable group to be part of. Then we had a variety of students and prospective students from the NZ School of music a variety of quality guitar repertoire with polish and panache. Bravo! Taranaki Summer School
Held at Highlands Intermediate School, 2012 was the first Summer School for classical guitar held in New Zealand since the early ’90’s. This Taranaki Classical Guitar Summer School was jam packed with workshops, masterclasses and ensembles designed to improve both guitar playing and appreciation. Culminating in performance at Pukekura Park Festival of Lights, the 2012 Summer School was a huge success with over 60 participants.
