NZSM Classical Guitar Students Present Chamber Music – Sunday 6-June

Sunday 6-June-2021: Performance—NZSM Classical Guitar Students present chamber music Guitar Quartet, Trio and Duo music featuring Hamish Goodhue, Oliver Howes, Bruno Guedea, and Chris Everest.  The group will be presenting pieces by Nathan Kolosko (b. 1975), Arvo Pärt (b. 1935) [arr. Marek Pasieczny], Enrique Granados (1867–1916), Klaus Wusthoff (b. 1922), and traditional Bulgarian folksong arrangements by Andrew Forrest).  A more detailed programme will be available at the performance. May 2nd Meeting featuring Sirisan Sobhanasiri (Kwan), Guitar and Elsa Shih, Flute

Our next meeting is Sunday, 2 May 2021, 4.15 pm to 6.30 pm For the May 2021 meeting will have the usual festivities (ensemble/solo playing) [ensemble book available from WCGS_2021_Book ] followed by a performance by Sirisan Sobhanasiri (aka Kwan) (Guitar) and Elsa Shih (Flute) who will present a programme which will involve a flute and guitar duo (10 minutes) and guitar solo.  In the solo section, Kwan will play a range of repertoire using different tunings, including new compositions inspired by Thai music and Gamelan music.
